The Wellsboro High School Performance Band has been invited to represent Pennsylvania and the local community at the 2026 National Veterans Day Ceremony in Washington, D.C. The event will take place on November 11th as part of the America 250 Commemoration and will also recognize the 85th anniversary of World War II.

This is only my second field day that I’ve done here, [it’s] my first year here full-time so still a learning experience, but I hope all the kids are having a great time burning a lot of energy and making some core memories that will last them for a long time,” Physical Education teacher Maggie Pratt stated.
