After 135 years of dedicated service to Canton Area School District, the Canton High School Alumni Association has made its final gift to the school and community that it has faithfully supported since 1889. The new electronic message board, valued at $22,000, was donated in August 2025 and installed last week along Main Street near the Nelle Black Westgate Auditorium. The sign will be used to display school announcements, upcoming events, student achievements, and important community news, providing enhanced visibility and communication for the district.

On Friday November 7th the Troy Trojans football team conquered the Warrior Run Defenders at Defender stadium. Troy came out strong in the first then the Defenders stalled the Trojan Offensive but ultimately fell under the Trojan boot.

On Saturday November first the Troy lady Trojans faced off against the Central Columbia lady Bluejays on the soccer field competing for the 2025 AA district title. However, the lady Trojans were unable to find a crack in the Lady Bluejay defense finishing their season in second place of the district 4 AA playoffs.

On Friday October 24th the North Penn-Mansfield Panthers hosted the Wellsboro Hornets on the Gridiron in island park for the Morton F Jones Memorial Trophy game. It was senior night for the Panthers and members of the band and cheer squad were recognized before the game started. The hornets went on to dominate both sides of the ball coming out on top 48-10
