Community Gathers For Laurel Festival Unity Church Service
Last Sunday was a beautiful symbol of unity, companionship and faith as our community gathered on the Green in Wellsboro for the Laurel Festival Unity Church Service.
Reverend Carl Linscott of Crossroads Family Worship Center welcomed everyone in attendance. The invocation was provided by Pastor Brett Kennedy of Vineyard Church of Wellsboro.
Then we all joined in the Call to Worship by Colleen Krise and her team from Vineyard.
Leslie Bowers presented a reading from Ezekiel 17, and a second lesson from the book of Mark, chapter 4.
The morning’s sermon was given by Pastor Liz Jackson of First United Methodist in Wellsboro.
The message was followed by an invitation to give to the work of the Wellsboro Area Ministerium, presented Reverend Ed Erb of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. During this time of giving, Pastor Kennedy played a song with his ministry team.
The time of worship was concluded with the doxology by Rachel Linscott.
Pastor Kennedy offered the benediction as a final word of thanks to our Heavenly Father.
