Business Spotlight: Akiko’s Floral Arts
I was looking for an organic way to prove that ordering flowers from Akiko’s was right because they are fresh and will last longer!
I asked Cindy Fitzgerald if I could share this story; thankfully, she said yes.
On June 27th, my husband John Vogt and I visited Akiko’s to buy gifts for our good friends Rob and Cindy Fitzgerald for their 48th wedding anniversary. We were fortunate to meet Chance, one of their skilled floral arrangers, who took the time to understand our desire to bless them. When we returned to pick up the floral arrangement, it was evident that Chance’s expertise had resulted in a truly stunning arrangement!
Upon receiving the arrangement at the Penn Wells Hotel, the staff placed it on the table reserved for our friends. We were confident that they would appreciate the gift, and our expectations were more than met when they sent us a heartfelt message from the restaurant. They even shared a photo of the arrangement beside them, which was a testament to its beauty and the joy it brought them.
Cindy would send me an updated photo of her arrangement every few days—first on June 29th, July 2nd, and July 7th! The arrangement was still looking great! She did not know I wanted to show how long Akiko’s flowers lasted, so I was pretty amused by every update I received.
The owner of Akiko’s, Joe Hewett, also told us that when we receive fresh flowers, we should not put them in front of the windows or television. He also said to cut the stems of the bouquets, open the flower food, and pour it into the vase. Do not leave flowers in the car, especially in the summer!
Please visit Akiko’s at 31 East Ave in Wellsboro, PA, call them at 5 70-724-1509, or visit their website at https://akikos.com.
