Our Mission and Vision
To serve the communities we cover well
The Home Page Network Mission
Our mission at The Home Page Network is to produce timely (new media) experiences incorporating news and information from around the world with a particular emphasis on things that impact the local communities we serve. These digital publications combine internet television, digital print media, online photography and electronic graphics to provide our viewers with outstanding coverage of our region. From breaking news and information to each day’s feature stories we will always work hard to ensure our viewers receive an excellent (new media) news and information experience. An essential part of our mission is to cover the good things that happen in the towns we serve. We hope to influence our communities for good.
Another important part of our mission is to educate and train people of all ages in the skills of communication. We do this through shadowing programs, college and university internships, and teaching volunteers who want to explore a career in communications.
The Home Page Network is a secular enterprise focused on serving our towns and communities. However, as a biblically based organization, we desire that God is glorified in us and through us.
The Home Page Network Vision
Our vision at The Home Page Network is to continue to grow by opening up new markets for our products and services. Our core staff remains dedicated to staying current with technology to be able to provide our users with a modern (new media) experience. We will continue to incorporate news and information from around the world with a particular emphasis on things that impact the local communities we serve. We are committed to covering mostly good and positive things that take place in a community. We hope to be an encouragement to the regions we serve by influencing our communities for good.
Another vital component to our future vision of The Home Page Network is to educate and train people in the skills of communication with a particular emphasis on broadcast communication. We look forward to opening (The Home Page Network Institute of New Media Broadcasting) in the future. This one-year postgraduate program will focus on helping a person excel in new media broadcasting – covering subjects like videography, editing, anchor and correspondent skills along with public speaking.
