The 2019 Hat & Fashion Show

by Lauren Gooch, Sara Vogt - November 18, 2019

The Christine A. Moore Millinery and Dunham’s Department Store Hat and Fashion Show took place on Saturday, November 16th. More than 60 people were in attendance for this fun afternoon, which also consisted of free giveaways and a delicious luncheon at the Historic Penn Wells Hotel. While enjoying their lunch, attendees watched six models present fall fashions while Ann Dunham Rawson of Dunham’s and Christine of Christine A. Moore Millinery commented on fall fashion.

After the luncheon attendees spent time at Dunham’s, using their 20% off Savings Pass. Christine and Blake of Christine A. Moore Millinery presented a trunk show with all of their hats for purchase from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the store too! Many smiling faces left the store with a new fashion piece and hat in hand!

An appearance by Anne Knox, author of the book, Ms. Knox’s Box, made this event even more special. Anne was the woman who first encouraged Christine to sell her hats at the Kentucky Derby. Now, Christine has made history by becoming the official milliner of the Kentucky Derby. For more information, check out our featured video interview with Anne Knox here.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success! A special thank you to the Penn Wells Hotel for hosting, Christine A. Moore Millinery and Dunham’s Department Store for their fashions, and the following businesses for donating items for the giveaways: Bethany’s Jewelry and Design, The Red Skillet, Highland Chocolates, the Main Street Olive Oil Company, BonHoffie Skin Culture, Café 1905, Dunham’s Department Store, and Christine A. Moore Millinery.

The Home Page Network was glad to support and sponsor this event! We hope you will join us next year for fun and fall fashion.
