Tioga County 4-H leader Taylor Leach and Commissioner Mark Hamilton came to the Home Page studios to discuss the Tioga County 1st Responder Day Camp. Taylor and Mark are partnering together to reach the youth of our area.

The camp for ages 12 to 18 runs from July 10th to the 14th from 8:00 AM to 4 PM, being held at the Mansfield Fire Station.

This opportunity will allow the campers to hear presentations by local fire and rescue, emergency medical personnel, and law enforcement agencies. And there will be hands-on presentations about CPR and First Aid, Personal Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Ambulance Response, and Firefighting.

Mark mentioned on the broadcast that for these various jobs to continue, the youth must see the value of the community.

The fee for the camp is $ 30.00 for members of 4-H and $50.00 for non-members. There is a scholarship available if needed for the camp fee.
