People are living longer and healthier lives, and this is especially true in Tioga County.

Dr. Matthew Heckman and his colleagues at Penn State would like to invite you to join them in a study of Tioga County. Study participants will receive a $40 gift card for completing the survey and a $50 gift card for completing the interview.

You are being invited to volunteer to participate in a research study. Research studies include only people who voluntarily choose to take part. This summary explains key information about this research. You are urged to ask questions about anything that is unclear to you.

The purpose of this research study is to better understand the unique social support characteristics of individuals living in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, and how these relate to health outcomes.

You are being asked to complete a survey over the phone with a member of our study team or via the survey link provided on the recruitment flyer.
