Your Local Votes Matter! Vote Municipal Primaries, May 16
Pennsylvania will be holding a Primary Election on May 16, 2023.
Erick Coolidge, one of our current Tioga County Commissioners, stepped into the Home Page Studios to encourage us to vote! Eric has served Tioga County for the past twenty-eight years with care and compassion.
Across the U.S., only 15 to 27 percent of eligible voters cast a ballot in their local election. On May 16, you can change that statistic in Tioga County, PA.
We are blessed to live in a free county where we have the opportunity and responsibility to let our voices be heard through voting.
The County Council is responsible for certain county governments’ legislative and administrative functions, including adopting a budget and setting local tax rates and fees. Although the Council oversees all service departments, the Executive Director, a Council appointee, is directly responsible for the regular operations. The County Council is involved in various activities, including economic development, public transportation, waste disposal, human services, housing, land use, and culture.
This list would include Tioga County Commissioners, County Auditor, County Attorney, County Auditor, County Attorney, County Recorder/Register of Deeds/Register of Mesne Conveyance, County Coroner/Medical Examiner, and County Court Judge.
