As we all know, winter is coming. We could all be stuck inside soon if we get snow like last year. Now is the time to be active, improve your health, and enjoy the last little bit of warm weather before the season changes. Today’s feature brings you one of those opportunities.

The Tioga County Branch YMCA is holding their 3rd Annual Strong Kids Triathlon this Sunday, September 7. Children, ages 3-15, can participate in running, biking, and swimming events. YMCA Program Director Veronica Nowak notes that this triathlon really gets the kids active and it’s something fun for them to do for the day. The running and biking courses will take place at Smythe Park in Mansfield. The swimming portion will be held in the Mansfield town pool. The triathlon will be a great way to kick off the fall season. You can register online at www.rvrymca.org or fill out forms at their location in Mansfield. Pre-event registration is at 1pm and the races will begin at 2:00 p.m.
