Wyalusing Rams top Panthers, 37-16

On Friday, October 20 the North Penn Mansfield Panthers fell to the Wyalusing Rams, 37-16.

After some defensive holds early in the first quarter – with only 4 minutes until the second, the Rams worked their way up the field. Inside the 10, they punch in an inside run. The two point conversion was good, starting the Rams ahead 8-0.

Early in the second quarter, the Panthers made their way into the red zone. Then Karson Dominick dropped back in the pocket and sent it to Luke Kreger in the corner of the end zone. The two point conversion was good with another great ball from Dominick to Gabe Bellows, making the score 8-8.

With 6 mins remaining in the second, the Rams found their way back into scoring position and punched it in. Again, the 2 point conversion was good, snagging the lead back for Wyalusing 16-8.

The Rams went to the air next and scored with only 43 seconds remaining in the half, increasing their lead with a two point conversion, 24-8.

Third quarter, the Rams stampeded their way back into the red zone sent a man on an inside run. After the point-after-attempt, they led 31-8.

Fourth quarter – the Rams advanced their way down the field yet again and punched it in for their last score of the night, with 10:51 remaining in the ball game. The kick was no good, making the score 37-8.

With under 3 mins in the fourth, the Panthers found their way to the end zone again as Cale Wagner took the inside run and got past the line for the score. Wagner also received an outside handoff for the 2 point conversion, making the final score 37-16, Rams.

The North Penn Mansfield Panthers are back on the field on Friday as they host the Wellsboro Hornets for the annual Morton F. Jones Memorial game.
