World-Class Care In Rural PA

The Future is Bright: Laurel Launches New Services

by Kristy Warren - August 27, 2019

The Laurel Health Centers put patients first. Seeing a need for increased access to affordable chiropractic and pediatric care, they set out on a mission to elevate “The Laurel Experience” for patients of all ages.

Over the past year, Laurel has been hard at work cultivating local partnerships and recruiting more providers to improve access, introduce brand-new services, and grow existing health services.

Join us as James A. Nobles, President and CEO of the Laurel Health Centers, returns to the Homepage desk to share exciting new services and partnerships—and learn what’s next for family medicine in our area following Laurel’s prestigious national recognition for quality of care.

LAUREL DEBUTS AFFORDABLE CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Suffering back, neck, or joint pain? Laurel has your back! Dr. Jennifer Gonzalez has joined the Laurel Health Centers to offer affordable, comprehensive chiropractic care for everyone. She is now accepting patients of all ages at the new Laurel Health & Wellness Center, located at 40 West Wellsboro St. in Mansfield.

Looking to improve pain or return to an activity you love after injury? Dr. Gonzalez works in tandem with Laurel’s sports medicine, rehabilitation, and family medicine teams to safely treat and improve pain.

Has out-of-pocket cost prevented you from seeing a chiropractor? The Laurel Health Centers seek to remove these cost barriers by offering chiropractic care to all patients, including those with Medical Assistance, Medicare, commercial insurance, and limited insurance. The Laurel Health Centers accept all major commercial insurances and offer sliding fee discounts to underinsured and uninsured patients to ensure everyone maintains access to safe, high-quality care.

To make a chiropractic appointment, call 1-833-LAUREL-H-C today.

WELLSBORO PEDIATRICS JOINS LAUREL
Every child deserves a healthy childhood. Wellsboro Pediatric Healthcare Associates has joined the Laurel Health Centers to create Laurel Pediatrics: the same great care with even more services and greater access for families in need.

“We are excited to become part of the Laurel Health Center family. This partnership allows us to provide more services to vulnerable children through a sliding fee scale to ensure all children receive the high-quality care they deserve,” says Barry Clark, MD, pediatrician and practice owner.

Patients will continue to see all the same providers, nurses, and staff they have come to know and trust with their family, including Dr. Barry Clark, Kate Abadi, PA-C, and Edith Condict, CRNP. The pediatrics team will continue to practice in their current location on 1 B Main Street in Wellsboro; all the office’s contact information remains the same, including its phone number: 570-724-7100. They are currently accepting new patients.

“Both our organizations have been pillars in the Wellsboro healthcare community for many years, and together, we share a vision of excellent, compassionate care for all families,” notes Nobles. “Welcoming Wellsboro Pediatrics to the Laurel family improves our ability to meet the pediatric needs of our growing community, while maintaining the same small-town, patient-focused atmosphere that makes our patients feel like family.”

TRUE NORTH & THE LAUREL EXPERIENCE
The right care, at the right time, every time is Laurel’s mantra for patient care. To ensure an outstanding patient care experience, the Laurel Health Centers have launched “True North,” a set of guiding principles based on four compass points:
North: Excellence & Quality
East: Compassion & Caring
West: Stewardship & Integrity
South: Respect & Dignity

“True North forms the foundation of The Laurel Experience,” explains Nobles. “It represents our commitment to patient-centered care by always placing the patient at the center of everything we do, no matter what the circumstances or pressures. Our True North compass sets the course for Laurel Health, using the sustainable, reliable, ever-bright brass compass to guide us in the right direction.”

AWARD-WINING CARE: LAUREL RECEIVES NATIONAL QUALITY AWARD
Trust your family to the best. The Laurel Health Centers are National Quality Leader Award winners for outstanding care, awarded to only a handful of clinics nationwide. The Laurel Health Centers were the only health centers in Pennsylvania to achieve this honor last year. The right choice is right here!

To learn more about Laurel Health Center services or to make an appointment, call 1-833-LAUREL-H-C (1-833-528-7354) or visit laurelhc.org.
