On Tuesday, October 10 the Wellsboro Hornets cross country team hosted Cowanesque Valley, North Penn-Mansfield and Wyalusing.

In the boys race, CV came out on top beating North Penn-Mansfield 20-43, Wyalusing 19-39, and Wellsboro 19-43. Wyalusing beat North-Penn Mansfield 22-36 and Wellsboro 32-35. And Wellsboro topped North Penn-Mansfield 25-32.

In top 5 individuals, CV’s Kristian Mizdail took first with a time of 17:27, followed by the Tiger’s Michael Knefley at 18:51, Wyalusing’s Trennan Tewksbury at 19:39, Wellsboro’s Max Macias at 20:11, and CV’s Hunter Simonds with a time of 20:21.

In the girls race, North-Penn Mansfield beat Wyalusing 26-29 and Wellsboro 22-39. And Wyalusing topped Wellsboro 24-31.

In top 5 individuals, Wellsboro’s Lauren Kosek took first with a time of 21:44, followed by Wyalusing’s Megan King at 22:32, the Tiger’s Jaci Fairchild at 22:34, CV’s Clare MeKee at 22:38, and in fifth the Tiger’s Madelynne Johns with a time of 23:54.

These teams will be out again to compete at the NTL Coaches Invite on October 15.
