Wellsboro Commencement Ceremony 2016
Wellsboro Area High School held a commencement ceremony for the class of 2016 on Friday, June 3. The ceremony began with a welcome by Principal Robert Kreger, and an address to the class by Superintendent, Patrick Hewitt. The commencement address was provided by guest speaker, Dr. Donald Shaw.
Following the address by Dr. Shaw, the Salutatorian, Sarah Ingerick gave a speech to her class. The musical selection, “Thankful” By Mark Hayes, accompanied by BillieJo Priset was performed by the Senior Choir members. Next up for the commencement ceremony was an address by the Valedictorian of the class, Alexa Singer.
Several scholarships were awarded to various students of the senior class such as Darci Warriner, Andrew Lee, Natalie Mee, Stone Alexander, Sandra Bilder, and Isaac Leach. There were 105 students of the senior class that received their diplomas certified by Principal Robert Kreger.
After the students received their diplomas, it was finally time for the moment that they had all been waiting for: congratulations to the class of 2016 for all of your hard work and accomplishments! We wish every one of you the best in your future endeavors! Hats off to a wonderful class! Thank you for your support and remember, it’s all right here on Wellsboro Home Page!
