Wellsboro Comic Con, hosted by Pop’s Culture Shoppe, will see its debut August 13-14, 2022.

This event will feature special guest of honor Roy Thomas, legendary comic book writer and editor, and Stan Lee’s first successor as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics. Thomas writing credits include work on Marvel’s X-Men and The Avengers, and DC Comics’ All-Star Squadron. He also co-created many popular characters, including Wolverine, Vision, Carol Danvers, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Ultron, Adam Warlock, Morbius, and Ghost Rider among many others.

The comic con will take place at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts in Wellsboro.

“For a weekend we will be celebrating the creativity of the comic book world and pop culture. And we’ll be doing it in our rustic, rural Wellsboro way.” said Julian Stam, owner of Pop’s Culture Shoppe and host of the event.

Event participants will be able to enjoy many activities, including a cosplay contest, sidewalk chalk contest, vendors, artist signings & sketches, workshops, and more!
