Troy Trojans Conclude Season with shutout Against Towanda
The Troy Trojans boys soccer team claimed a shutout victory over the Towanda Black Nights on Wednesday, October 11.
Troy’s Brayden Spalding lines himself up center field just outside of the box and lays one in just over the keeper’s hands. Trojans lead, 1-0 with 13 minutes remaining in half.
Next – with only a minute left before halftime – Trojan Gavin Lykon with a BIG ball midfield soars right past the keeper. Goal!
Early in the second half, Spalding finds the back of the net for his second time – through the legs of the keeper. 3-0, Troy.
Shortly after, the Trojans find a hole in the Black Knight defenses. Then, Landon Jenkins to Logan Prouty for a perfect one-two goal.
21:06 remaining in regulation, Trojan Carter Lambert receives a beautiful ball, burns the defense, and beats the keeper. Troy up 5-0.
Troy’s final goal of the night – what volley off a Trojan corner! Lykon to Keegan Kerr right into the net. Troy claims the shutout, 6-0.
