Troy Town Cruisers Host Weekly Car Show
Troy Town Cruisers have hosted a weekly car show in Troy at First Citizens Community Bank for the last 12 years. As a member of the Troy community this is the weekly highlight of our community and I am astounding at the response week after week, year after year.
Jim Blackwell is one of the Co-Founders he thanked First Citizens for the parking lot, Troy Chamber of Commerce for the concessions and Rocky for the music week after week, year after year.
Terry and Melea Putnam are also Co-Founders of the Cruisers, Terry talked about the fourth Co-Founder Rod Spalding, who passed away in 2015, if you are from Troy you know him and his love of race cars and show cars. Rod arranged this with First Citizens, while Melea made many, many calls getting people invited and excited to come to this new car show.
It’s great when small towns come together and hold successful events that happen year after year, I have enjoyed being a part of the event myself for the last 8 years.
The Troy Town Cruisers host the car show every Tuesday, starting at 5:00 pm, with Troy Chamber hosting concessions and Rocky playing the oldies. The event runs from the Tuesday after Memorial Day until the last Tuesday in September.
