Troy runs all over Montoursville, moves to 2-0
TROY— The Troy Trojans played a complete game on offense and defense to come away with a 28-7 win on Friday, Sept. 2.
Head Coach Jim Smith was happy with his teams performance.
“I was really happy with the kids performance. We got dinged up a bit but overall we did well and came away with a win against a really good Montoursville football team. They are a great program.”
The Trojans ran for 329 yards on the day on the legs of seven different players. Quarterback Evan Woodward led them with 135 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries, while Clayton Smith ran for two touchdowns and 71 yards on nine touches, the majority of which happened in the first half.
