Troy Buries Northwest Area Rangers, 51-0

On Friday, October 13 at Alperon Park the Troy Trojans buried the Northwest Area Rangers 51-0.

The Trojans started the game off with a bang as Mason Smith returned the opening kickoff untouched all the wqy to the endzone. The point after attempt was no good, giving Troy the early lead 6-0.

Next, with 9:41 remaining in the first quarter, Evan Woodward dropped back to pass and laid a dime right into the hands of Cameryn Harwick for the touchdown. The 2 point conversion was good, elevating the Trojans led 14-0.

After a big screen, the Trojans were in enemy territory. Then Woodward from the pocket sent the ball up to Mason Smith who found his way to the end zone, putting the Trojans up 20-0.

After the quarter change, the Trojans continued their advance. On the goal line, an inside run by Brendan Gilliland landed another touchdown for the Trojans. Spaulding’s extra point was good, making it 27-0.

7:40 seconds remaining in the half – Woodward sent a laser over the middle to Lincoln Chimicks, and he sliced his way through the secondary for the touchdown. The kick was good, Trojans take the commanding lead 34-0.

A minute later, Woodward called his own number from the Ranger 35, found the outside, and took it to the house. 41-0, Trojans.

In the second half the Trojans scored once more and made a field goal, finalizing their shutout victory, 51-0.

The Trojans are on the road next week facing the Loyalsock Lancers.
