Tioga County’s 56th Annual Fair starts August 7th!

Tioga County’s 56th Annual Fair starts August 7th!

by Deb Bastian - August 2, 2022

MANSFIELD, PA — The 56th Pennsylvania Tioga County Fair, “Working Together to Keep the Tradition Alive”, at the Whitneyville Fair Grounds is August 7th through August 13th. The schedule is packed every day with something for all ages that is interesting, fun and delicious.

Don’t miss the coronation of the Fair Queen who will reign over the week’s events Sunday evening, August 7th at 6:00. The Queen is awarded a $500.00 scholarship, and the runner up is awarded a $200.00 scholarship. Another exciting event not to be missed will be the talent contest on Wednesday, August 10th at 7:00 PM on the indoor stage. The top three acts will be presented with a total of $950.00 in cash prizes. Bluegrass Grammy award winner, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, perform on Thursday, August 11th at 6:00 PM and again at 8:00PM.

When you are enjoying all the fun and interesting things at the fair, remember that it takes the entire county to make an event like this succeed. Volunteers throughout the year are working to schedule events, local businesses are financially supporting and promoting the events, and hundreds of hours are donated by volunteers the week of the fair, all truly bringing this year’s theme to life, “Working Together to Keep the Tradition Alive”.
