Tioga County To Transition To Yellow

by James Nobles / Tioga County COVID-19 Task Force - May 6, 2020

With COVID-19 positive cases holding steady in Tioga County, we are now looking ahead to Friday May 8th and our transition from the Red Phase to the Yellow Phase.

Since last week, when Governor Wolf announced that Tioga County would be one of the 24 counties that may begin reopening, the Task Force has been hard at work discussing the reopening and recovery of the county.

Recovery plans have been the topic of conversation for the past several weeks, and now as we look ahead to transitioning to Yellow on Friday May 8th at 12:01 a.m., Tioga County is once again looking to lead the charge and be the model county in the commonwealth.

For more on this, a group of community leaders gather via Zoom call today, including: Representative Clint Owlett, Commissioner Erick Coolidge, Mayor Shane Nickerson from Blossburg, Knoxville Borough Councilman Carl Cox, and Chair of the Township Association, Mary House.
