The Whitneyville Fairgrounds hosted the 2023 4-H Kick-Off on Sunday March 12. There were seven clubs in attendance: Liberty Community, Canyon Country, North Valley, T & E Farm Group, Tioga County Livestock and Judging, This and That, and Little Valley club. Each set up a booth with interactive informational games and crafts for everyone to participate in and learn about and what they had to offer. We watched old and new members have a blast exploring and discovering what was awaiting them at each station.

4-H, The largest youth organization in the country, works to unite families and communities by promoting experiential learning for both today’s and yesterday’s youth. Young people are encouraged to grow resilient and confident, take on a challenge, and really shine in the opportunities provided. In an interview with event coordinator, Taylor Leach, she expressed how clubs like these help today’s youth become positive, capable, and compassionate members of the community.
