The 30th Blossburg State Coal Festival will take place Memorial Day Weekend at Island Park, Blossburg. Come join the fun, eat some good food and enjoy the entertainment, Free admission!

Thursday May 26th
6:00 – Folklore & Coal Mining Songs of Northeast PA. Hosted at the Blossburg Memorial Library (lower level) Free admission.

FRIDAY May 27th
5:30 – Bounce Houses – Free all weekend.
Food and Craft Vendors open
6:00 – Prince and Princess Pageant
7:00 – 9 pm – Trivia with Shelly from Dirt Road Entertainment
8:30 – 10:30 pm – Bonfire, Color Dance, Glow Sticks, S’more Station and Music by Dirt Road Entertainment – Free!

SATURDAY May 28th
9:00 – 3 pm – Car and Bike and Snowmobile show. Special appearance by Optimus Prime!
11:00 – Coal Festival Parade thru Main Street to Island Park
12:00 until gone – Chicken BBQ by Sleezy (sold on the Island)
12:00 – Vendors, bounce houses and General Store Open
12:00 – 673 Cornhole Tournament
1:00 – Little League Tournament
1:00 – Live Entertainment – Performance by the STSD Jazz Ensemble
1:00 – Clyde Peeling’s Reptileland Reptile Presentation
1:30 – Operation Save a Life program with ABATE
2:00 – Coal Festival Basket Raffle – Tickets are $1 each or $5 for 6!

4:00 – Coal Festival Kid’s Raffle
4:00 – Kickball Tournament – ages 13 – 17
5:00 – Duck Race – $5 per Duck or $20 for 5 Ducks. Dropped from the pool slide!

6:30 – 9:30 – Live Entertainment – Radio Thieves with opener Judith Noldy
9:00 – Fireworks

SUNDAY May 29th
11:00 – Plant Swap
2:00 – Community church service (non-denominational; all are welcome)
3:00 – Bike parade and ice cream social – bring a bike, lawn chair and enjoy conversation with your neighbors!

Monday May 30
Blossburg Borough Memorial Day Ceremony – 11:30 am – at the Monument, Main Street Blossburg.
Light lunch provided by the Blossburg American Legion immediately following the program.
