The 2018 Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame!

The Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame inducted 14 new members on Saturday, March 31 at their 33rd annual banquet held out at the Tioga County Fairgrounds.

Former athletes from Wellsboro, Mansfield, North Penn, Liberty, Cowanesque Valley, Williamson, and Elkland gathered and shared stories about their playing days and their favorite memories. Tim Frazier started the event, then recognized the newly deceased Hall of Fame members, an introduction of Tioga County High School honorees, and the induction of the Class of 2018.

The 2018 Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame Class includes:

Rob Brant – Mansfield (baseball)
Afton Brugger Heyler – Cowanesque Valley (softball)
Mark Burfield – Elkland (baseball)
Blaine Bush – Wellsboro (football)
TJ Howe – Elkland (golf)
Tesia Kaczynski – Mansfield (basketball)
Cindy Kendrick – Williamson (gymnastics)
Erin Litzleman – Liberty (coach/contributor)
Michael Makowiec – North Penn (baseball)
Dawn Pierce – North Penn (basketball)
Victoria Preston Hyde – Williamson (volleyball)
Renee Sayles – Cowanesque Valley (basketball)
Kimberly Sayre Williams – Wellsboro (track & field)
Mike Schall – Elkland (golf)

The Tioga County Sports Hall of Fame also honors outstanding high school senior athletes each year in recognition of their contribution to the sports life of the respective schools during the past four years. Being honored in 2018 include:
