Teens Volunteer to Help Community

by Home Page Staff - October 17, 2019

Some people may think that teens are always stuck on their electronic devices. However, right here in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania – a group of local teens are serving others every week. They call themselves the Sojourners.

“Our goal is to connect students with opportunities to serve in our community,” said Pastor Drew Simcox. “Any teenagers, grade 7-12 [can participate]. We students who come down from Wellsboro High School, and many homeschool students participate every week in Sojourners.”

The youth and leader, Pastor Simcox, meet every Wednesday from 3:30 – 5:30pm at the Wellsboro First Baptist Church youth building, titled The Lighthouse.

If you’d like to learn more about the Sojourners and how you can join them, or how they might be able to help you, contact Pastor Drew via email at pastordrew@firstbaptistwellsboro.com.
