Soirée Supports Fight Against Cancer
Are you looking for a way to support our community and shop local?
Dunhams Department Store & Furniture Gallery and Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital invite you to their 10th
Annual Holiday Shopping Soirée on November 1st, from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. The admission ticket for this event is $15. All of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to the SSMH Auxiliary. The auxiliary has decided this year that the proceeds will benefit the new Cancer Center at the hospital. (The new Cancer Center gives Tioga County residents the opportunity to have treatments and medical assistance close to home.) Tickets are available at Dunhams Department Store or by calling Faith Preston, SSMH Auxiliary Co-ordinator at 570-723-0191. You may purchase your tickets right up to the night of the event. Tickets will also be sold at the door until eight that night.
This event gives us an opportunity to support local business and our hospital while enjoying a night with friends and family.
During the soirée there will be twelve drawings that you can register for, with the possibility to win wonderful prizes. In the today’s video feature, Ann Dunham Rawson tells us about six of them, including:
– Winning a Pendleton shirt of your choice
– A Columbia jacket of your choice (one for women and one for men)
– A pair of Clark shoes of your choice
– Jim Shore decoration
– A Crabtree and Evelyn Gift Box
– A Calico Critters Doctor’s building.
You may also register for the Auxiliary 50/50 drawing, the 10th Soiree Lottery Tree, a $15.00 Cafe Gift Card, a home accessory from The Furniture Gallery, a housewares gift, and a $50.00 Dunham gift card.
Food will be served throughout the night as well, with a demonstration in housewares by James Fry, the executive chief of the Penn Wells. Brad Goodwin of the Red Skillet will be offering some holiday treats as well! There will be musical entertainment with Johanna Vogt playing violin, Sharon Spady Humbert playing keyboards, and Chad and Dave Duet playing guitar and cello.
John Smith will be demonstrating the art of making Belrzenickel figurines while Keith McNeil will be making and decorating Putz houses. During the Soriee there is a 20% discount on all merchandise in the store and in the furniture department. Free gift wrapping will be provided as well to help you get started on your Christmas shopping.
Soirée ticket holders can enjoy dining out at one of our community restaurants for a great meal and receive 20% off the price. The restaurants include Cast & Crew in Mansfield, Timeless Destination (reservations preferred), The Steak House (reservations required) and the West End Market Cafe (that closes at 3:00pm.)
