Second Chance Needs Volunteers
Do you love animals? If so, then this is the job for you!
Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries is a no-kill shelter, fulfilling their mission of giving cats and dogs a second chance at finding a loving home. They are currently in need of volunteers, and there are many ways to help out. Here are the top three ways to volunteer:
1. Walking dogs
Enjoy some fresh air, open spaces, and sunshine on their beautiful property while you walk some of their friendly pups. Play fetch, tug-of-war, or give them some treats while you’re with them, and they’ll be your best friend!
2. Morning/Evening Feeding and Cleaning
Head nudges from the kittens and lots of thank you kisses from the dogs will surely await you with these tasks. And when you’re done, they’ll be so happy to snuggle with you in their freshly cleaned rooms!
3. Playing with the kittens
Sit down in the kitten room and you’ll soon find several little kitties vying for your attention. They’ll play with their toys (and maybe your shoelace!), curl up on your lap while gently purring, and even climb up onto your shoulder for a nice view of the whole room. Spend some time in the kitten room, and you’ll find your stress melting away.
To become a volunteer, stop by Second Chance. Hours of operation are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12pm-5pm. Their Heading Home Center is located at 725 Gee Rd., Tioga, PA 16946. Additional contact information for Second Chance is listed below:

If you are unable to volunteer, donations are always appreciated. Dry cat and dog food, wood pellet cat litter, toys, blankets, and towels are just a few of the items you can donate. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated, and can be made here.
Thank you for supporting these sweet animals!
