Rotary Restores Main Street Flags

by John Vogt - July 8, 2020

Once again, the Wellsboro Rotary Club, Charlie Messina, and others demonstrate service above self as they protect our flag and help keep our town looking its best.

The challenge – protecting our flag. Most people do not know this fact. Wellsboro Pennsylvania has lost a lot of flags over the years, and it was getting expensive. The problem has been the angle of the flag. Trucks and busses were striking the flags and breaking them off their stand because of the angle.

On this broadcast, Home Page Correspondent Jared Wiker talks with Wellsboro Rotary Representative Jim Tutak about the problem and the solution.

Special thanks to Jim Tutak and the Wellsboro Rotary, Charlie Messina, the Lions Club, and others in our community who work so hard to keep Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, a beautiful place to live.
