Rewritten of Tioga County is hosting their first gala, titled “Be The Light,” on Thursday, June 1. The event will take place at Red Barn Hollow on Charleston Road in Wellsboro.

“We want people to explore what it is like when you join something that feels bigger than yourself, but you still have a part to play to be part of the solution,” said founder Ashley Wilson. “In that, you bring forth light to the solution to help end this situation of human trafficking.

Attendees can expect to enjoy catered food, a spoken word presentation, music from a pianist singer/songwriter, cornhole games, gifts, and more! The purpose of the event is to engage the community in a discussion and bring awareness to human trafficking.
