Remembering 10 Years: MMC Goes to the Dogs
Who doesn’t love an armful of adorable puppies? That’s the sentiment on which Matthews Motor Company is basing their newest project. As part of “The Dog Family Buying Experience,” Matthews Motor Company recently held an ambitious commercial shoot – but the stars were paid in biscuits.
The idea spawned from a lunch discussion about pets, according to Michael Ritter, executive assistant to Jason Matthews.
“One of our fellow employees brought in eight Bernese mountain dog puppies, and they were about eleven weeks old,” said Ritter. “And we started thinking, wouldn’t it neat and fun to have a dad dog and a mom dog come in, looking to buy a car?”
The canine-led commercial aims to express the company’s belief in the overall car purchasing experience.
“We think buying cars should be fun, and we like to be friendly and caring with all of our customers,” Ritter stated. “We thought the puppies and dogs would really represent that well.”
The new project will be launching in the near future! Be sure to follow Matthews Motor Company on Facebook for updates.
In addition to the new project, owner and general manager Jason Matthews also hopes to debunk a myth about their services. In addition to the dealership, Matthews Motor Company has other offerings that are available to all car owners, including their service department and collision center.
“Obviously we have people who buy cars here and have them serviced here, but you don’t have to buy a car to have it serviced at our location,” says Matthews. “We have a great service department, seven bays of service, great service writers and technicians. We sell tires, we do brakes, oil changes and inspections. If you have a car, you’re welcome to bring it down, whether you bought it here or not.”
