Q&A With Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority
Leigh Twoey has been the County Recycling Coordinator for Bradford, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties for the past 15 years. She is passionate about recycling and its impact on our environment. She works to divert recyclables from the waste stream and preserve our local landfills, which helps keep our communities more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Leigh, the Recycling, Safety, and Education Coordinator for NTSWA has been doing these broadcasts with us over the past few years. I have learned a lot about the importance of recycling and what to recycle.
Changes in what we can recycle sometimes happen when their vendors have new requirements. The plastics we can now recycle have changed recently. Please read the poster below for more information on recycling plastics.
Leigh also stressed that all recyclables are to be cleaned before bringing into town or placed alongside your curb for pick up. They are also to be separated into different categories.
Please visit this website for a complete list of all the materials you can recycle.
