POW / MIA Day Ceremony

by Home Page Staff - September 17, 2019

The Wellsboro American Legion Post 84 and Wellsboro VFW Post 4907 invites everyone to their POW / MIA Day Ceremony, taking place on Friday, September 20. The event will be held on The Green in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania – beginning at 6:00 pm. Invite your friends and family to come and recognize, honor and remember our servicemen and women who are being held as prisoners of war or missing in action.

“It is very important that you remember,” said Master Sergeant Clare Emery. “The POW/MIA flag actually says on it, ‘You are not forgotten.’ And that is the whole purpose of the POW/MIA Day. That the prisoners of war of past and the missing in action that still exist are not forgotten in the public knowledge.”
