Panthers Fall to Trojans
The North Penn-Mansfield Panthers suffered their 3rd loss on the season as they traveled to Alparon Park on Friday, September 13 to take on the Troy Trojans.
Troy jumped all over the visiting Panthers as they rushed for 3 scores, two by Damien Landon, and one by Caleb Binford, for an early 24-0 lead after the opening 12 minutes. Later in the second quarter Binford scored for the 2nd time to make it 32-0, then Landon found the end zone for the 3rd time, just before halftime, making it 39-0 in favor or Troy.
The Panthers broke the shutout in the third quarter when Bryan Bogaczyk took a hand off from Colton Litzelman, cut out near the sideline, and outran the Troy defense on his way to the end zone.
Neither team scored the rest of the way, securing the 39-6 win for Troy, their 3rd of the season.
The loss drops the Panthers to 1-3 overall (1-1 in the NTL Large School Division). This Friday the Panthers host the Cowanesque Valley Indians at Island Park.
