Owlett Takes the Win for Special Election and Primary, PA State Rep

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 14, 2018

WELLSBORO – Clint Owlett, the Republican Nominee for the Special Election, takes the win in the PA State Representative race. Owlett swept the Special Election as well as the Republican primary, Tuesday night, May 15th, 2018.

Owlett ran two campaigns this spring as he competed against a Democratic candidate for the Special Election seat, to immediately fill the remainder of Matt Baker’s term for PA State Representative of the 68th District, as well as against a Republican opponent in the Republican Primary.

The races came to conclusion last night as the results filed into the county courthouses. Owlett took 71% of Tioga County and 77% of the vote in Bradford County for the Special Election seat. For the Primary, Owlett took 78% in Tioga County and 66% in Bradford County, resulting in a party unifying win for the new State Representative. Readers can visit www.electionreturns.pa.gov for official results.

“I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all who voted yesterday. I am honored and so grateful to have the opportunity to serve the people of the 68th District,” said Owlett, “Thank you to all the volunteers, my team and family who supported us every step of the way.” Clint and his team met at the Timeless Destination Restaurant to see the results come in.

“I look forward to starting next week and keeping the voters up to date on the budget process this summer. Thank you again to all the voters who came out yesterday!” said Owlett.

Catching Up with Carrie

The Election

Carrie has won the Democratic Primary. She is the party’s nominee for the November election.

Republican Clint Owlett won the Special Election to finish the remainder of Matt Baker’s term. He will be our opponent in the November election.

Carrie’s words –

THANK YOU to everyone for your support in the primary and special election! Mr. Owlett has won in the special election. Congratulations to him and his team for their win! I have secured the Democratic primary, so I will be running in the general election in November. I hope you’re all ready for round two!

I just wanted to take a moment to send out a huge THANK YOU to the incredible team of volunteers who have poured their hearts and souls into this campaign. To everyone who has given of their time and energy, to the people who have stepped out of their comfort zone, to the people who are quietly spreading the word, you have my undying gratitude.

From Karen Meyers, your newsletter editor –

Carrie has inspired an unprecedented number of volunteers, myself among them. Before I began, I felt frustrated and powerless. Now, I am making a difference. If you have not volunteered for Carrie yet, I hope you will now. Now is our time to make a change.
