Home Page studio’s cameras visited a new business in Wellsboro called the Romantique Collection. It is a wedding and special occasion rental company, and this business is located in the beautiful building of 28 Central Avenue.

The co-owners of this business are Robin Davis and Lissa Hoprich – a mother-daughter team. Robin began the company ten years ago after doing her youngest daughter’s wedding. After the wedding, she approached the venue with her items to see if they would want to start a rental business. They encouraged her to start her rental company, so Romantique Collection began in Mifflinburg, PA. She named it Romantique Collection because of the romance of marriage and the collection of antiques that also line the shop’s walls.

Recently Robin moved closer to the area of Wellsboro as well as her daughter Lissa. Lissa was accompanied by her husband, Steve, and their children. That is when the idea of opening a shop began to unfold. Lissa says, “Steve is also a valuable team member as he does the accounting, website, online inventory, all the heavy lifting! Without him, we would not be able to operate.”

At Romantique Collection, you will see rental item ideas for all occasions, not just weddings! Other special events to rent include anniversaries, birthdays, and birth announcements. People can also rent tables, chairs, tablecloths, Jack Daniel barrels, half Jack Daniel barrels, table tops for the Jack Daniel barrels, chandeliers, draping, greenery, centerpieces, lanterns, and more! They try to keep costs low so people can rent instead of buy!

A fun fact about Steve and Lissa: They are behavior analysts who owned and operated early intervention ABA medical clinics in Virginia for ten years before moving back home to Pennsylvania last year. We decided to step away from the medical field for a little bit, and that is how we ended up with Romantique Collection and Romantique Bed and Breakfast!
