Movin’ Together – Birth Order Theory
Where are you in the birth order ranking in your family? Are you the oldest, middle, or youngest, or maybe an only child? I am the baby (youngest) of the Carleton Davis family, so I have encouraged others to have fun since I was young!
One of the first pictures in the broadcast is my brother Lynn Davis and me as we rode along on our home’s sidewalk. I am sure my Dad made him the wagon, so he could carry his toys and tools around but knowing me, I probably said, “please, Lynn, take me for a ride!” He was a great brother to his little sister when we were growing up. The other picture of me as a child was of my mom and me preparing to attend The First Presbyterian Church in Wellsboro on Easter Sunday.
Movin’ Together comes from my passion for fitness, and I want to present the tools we use in a light-hearted way when possible. Sometimes we find ourselves in a serious situation, and that is when the Movin’ Together tools help us to have an advantage!
Julianna, the baby (or the youngest child) of the John Gordon Vogt family, has given us many reasons to laugh, starting in China and during the thirteen years of life here at home. Regis took the first picture of Julianna in the broadcast when we were in China. The following family pictures are moments to treasure as we celebrate her life.
Last month she faced a serious medical challenge, and her family rallied around her. In January, the Movin’ Together tool we discussed was our schedules, do not just prioritize your schedule: schedule your priorities. I needed to persevere through the process. Our priority was being with her during this time, and Andrew and Natalie led the charge for our staff, who made it an easier decision by taking care of things here at Home Page.
Julianna is recovering well thanks to God, her medical team, friends, and family who prayed. Life is fragile; handle it with prayer. A special shout-out goes to James Nobles and the Laurel Health Team for their assistance.
Julianna has been on many of our Movin’ Together adventures over the years, and Lord willing, she’ll continue to enjoy being a part of Movin’ Together.
I used many Movin’ Together tools while Julianna was in the hospital: I jumpstarted my day with breakfast (fueling for strength and endurance). I kept hydrating ( keeping the systems running smoothly) and walked around the hospital grounds (increasing my energy levels). Sleep (Successful people don’t wait until the morning to prepare for a successful day; instead, they start the night before.)
A researcher named Alfred Adler developed the birth order theory in the 20th century. The theory claims that the order in which a child is born shapes their development and personality.
The following link is an online article talking about the theory.

Keep Movin’ Together with your family, friends, and those you meet with kindness, compassion, and love. Love never fails.
