Momday Monday | A Mother’s Day Message
Happy Mother’s Day mommas! I hope you feel loved and appreciated. From one mom to another, I know it’s hard and not always seeming to be rewarding. Even when moments fail us, or we fail them, our God unconditionally cares for mothers. Let Him love you as you deserve so you have that much more to pour into your family.
I wanted to share with you some versus that show that you can do this! And, you matter!
Isaiah 40:11 He gently leads those who have young.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Matthew 6:33-34
Seek first the kingdom of God and the rest shall be added unto you. Do not worry about tomorrow… every day has enough trouble of its own.
Isaiah 28:9-12
“Who is it he is trying to teach? To whom is he explaining his message? To children weaned from their milk, to those just taken from the breast? For it is: Do this, do that, a rule for this, a rule for that[a]; a little here, a little there.” Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues. God will speak to this people, to whom he said, “This is the resting place, let the weary rest”; and, “This is the place of repose”— but they would not listen.
2 Timothy 4:17
but the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.
Blessed be the Mamas. We are doing the sacred work of raising children.
Many days it feels like an invisible job to the world. Parenting isn’t red-carpet living with fame, fortune, and glitzy award ceremonies. It’s quiet, faithful, and steadfast. And it is holy.
To be the nucleus of love in your family is an incredible honor. To raise a child filled with kindness and compassion is a priceless gift you give to the world.
Don’t let anyone fool you, Mama. You’re fulfilling a high, high calling.
