Mission: ImPAWssible – Second Chance

by Lauren Gooch - August 21, 2019

Today on Home Page, we’re featuring some of the ways you can get involved with Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries. Volunteering your time, donating items or money, and adopting these adorable animals are all great ways to make a difference. Currently, one of their greatest needs is adopting out little kittens. Shelter Manager, Laura Clarson, shares the many benefits of adopting two kittens instead of just one. They’ll keep each other occupied and will play, sleep, and eat together. Overall, they are better socialized and happier kittens when they’re together!

Another way to help is to purchase a tile in memory of a loved one – either a person or a pet – to honor and remember them while also supporting other animals in need. Each $10 tile is personally engraved and placed on a wall inside Second Chance’s Heading Home Center and will form a paw print once completed.

Congratulations to Lindsay Mack, who just adopted a new dog from Second Chance during the filming of this feature. Thanks for sharing your experience with our Home Page viewers, Lindsay!

We encourage others to adopt or donate today to help show these animals some love! Adoption applications can be found on their website here.

Hours of operation are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12pm-5pm. Their Heading Home Center is located at 725 Gee Rd., Tioga, PA 16946. Additional contact information for Second Chance is listed below:
