May Day Drone Day!
North Penn-Liberty High School hosted May Day Drone Day for the Liberty Elementary school. The event was not only educational but a lot of fun for the students involved. When education is engaging, fun and exciting it often produces outstanding and memorable experiences that students can build on in the future.
Students had the opportunity to be taught by some high schoolers about how to fly drones, how to code, how to make their way through obstacles, and how to have fun while doing it! On today’s broadcast, Home Page Correspondent Johanna Vogt spoke with Mrs. Sarah Murray about all that went into the unique educational experience.
During the second half of today’s feature, we have the opportunity to hear from both the high school and elementary students involved regarding their take on May Day Drone Day. We hope you will invest a few moments to watch today’s broadcast to find out more about this kind of education approach that’s going on in our area schools.
We extend a special thanks to the Southern Tioga school district for the outstanding job they are doing educating and preparing our young people for challenging and exciting careers in the future.
