A former lawyer in California, Kim Craig and her husband, Stan, now make Mansfield their home. Kim works at the Mainesburg and Covington Post Offices. Together, she and Stan run a farm and care for 23 cats! And in their spare time, they now own and operate a short-term rental property.

They purchased the former hunting camp in a remote area of Mansfield/Mainesburg last summer because it was close to their home. Spare time has been spent making the decks safe, adding railings and a new ladder to the loft, and renovating the lower level into another bedroom and small living area. The beautiful setting is private and just what they are hoping will appeal to folks eager to relax in the country. The property will be marketed on the rental platform Air B&B.

In the video, Kim talks about their new adventure and why this endeavor can work in our rural community. Off-camera Kim said that she “plans to promote other local businesses through the rental so that visitors can enjoy what makes our community unique and special.”
