Make a Splash at the Swim Clinics!

Youth ages 5-18 invited to swim safely this summer!

by Lauren Gooch - June 4, 2020

Cool off this summer at Packer Pool in Wellsboro! Swimming is a great way to stay healthy, spend time outdoors, and have fun! If you are between the ages of 5-18 and can swim continuously for 25 yards, you are able to join in on the fun!

Summer Swim Clinics will be held in three sessions:

Clinic 1: June 8-June 26

Clinic 2: July 6-July 24

Clinic 3: July 27-August 14

Registration is required and can be found here (www.wellsboro.swimtopia.com). To follow the CDC guidelines, they are limiting the number of swimmers to 21 per session. In addition, they are meeting at separate times according to their age group. The age groups and prices are listed below.

Paddlefish: Ages 5-8 ($15) Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm-7pm. Must be able to swim in deep water with a flotation device.

Trout: Ages 9-12 ($20) Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 6pm-7pm. Elementary knowledge of four strokes and must complete circle swim.

Bass: Ages 13-18 ($30) Monday-Friday from 7pm-8pm. Knowledge of four strokes and continuous 100-yard stroke ability.

To participate, you must have either a pool membership or pay an additional clinic usage fee of $10.

Pool memberships are $99 for a family and are available until June 30. Individual memberships are $69. Stop by the pool office to pick up yours!

There are so many fun events happening this summer, including swim lessons, lifeguard courses, sports, and more. Check them out here.

Have fun this summer, and remember, just keep swimming!
