Local Students Build Home, Receive OSHA 10 Certifications
Local students from the Wellsboro Area School District are making progress on the House Project located on Nichols Street in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Students are involved in every aspect of construction, from foundation to roofing, and are receiving hands-on experience in many different construction trades. HPN NEWS has been checking in on the project to see how things are progressing. Today, Home Page Correspondent “Emma Mosher” visits with Drew Seeling, Building & Construction teacher at Wellsboro High School, for the latest.
Participating students are also receiving OSHA 10 safety certifications, allowing them to succeed right out of the gate with a head start. This two-and-a-half-year project features a three-bedroom, two-bathroom home, which will be sold, with the profits going to the next student home-building project.
