Learn to Drive with Mr. Snyder

Young and old can earn their licenses through Snyder's Driving School

by Janessa Davis - June 12, 2015

Snyder’s Driving School, LLC is state licensed, accredited and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Former Driver’s Education Teacher at Wellsboro Area High School, Philip Snyder, taught for 20 years before the program was pulled from the curriculum. However, Snyder continues to teach through his own licensed driving instruction program that has been operating for two years. Students (16+) and residents of any age may enroll. However, potential students must have acquired their own valid driver’s permit before they can be admitted.

Students benefit from this enrollment in a variety of ways. For example, they will receive training from a certified professional (as opposed to learning independently). This also gives them the option to avoid the DMV for the driving test, saving both time and the frustration of waiting in line. Using the driving instruction vehicle is also safer, as it is equipped with an “eye-check” mirror (for the instructor to observe the driver’s awareness) and a secondary brake for instructor use. Fourthly, Mr. Snyder is flexible with his schedule and works to accommodate his clients to the best of his ability. Lastly, many insurance agencies reduce costs for those who may have obtained their license through Snyder’s Driving School. Mr. Snyder encourages prospective students to check with their agency before enrolling.
