Learn How To Make Adorable Wool Ornaments
The Home Page Vice President Sara Vogt enjoyed talking with Fiber artist Kari Roslund in the Home Page studios about her wool ornament workshop being held at the Gmeiner Art and Cultural Center in Wellsboro on October 21st.
There will be three two-hour sessions where Kari teaches how to create a bird-themed felted ornament. The first session will be the Cardinal at 10:00 am, the second will be the Chickadee at 12:30 pm, and the last session will be at 3:00 pm with the Nuthatch.
Pre-registration for the class is required; the cost is $40.00 for each bird. All of the materials for the workshop are included.
You can pay Kari directly at the door on the day of the workshop with a check or cash. Her PayPal is @kariroslundstudios, and her Venmo is @kari-roslund. Kari will also offer kits for $20.00 each to make the ornaments on your own.
Kari is a fiber artist drawn to capturing the wonders of nature. She enjoys layering various materials, such as wool, silk, wire, wood, and paper, to create a captured place or moment. She provides wool for the workshop from sheep she raised on her farm while living in Wellsboro.
