Last week our community celebrated one of our most cherished annual events: the Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival. The weekend concluded with the Unity Service on the Green in Wellsboro, sponsored by the Wellsboro Area Ministerium. This service is a collaborative effort for many churches in our area.

Reverend Carl Linscott welcomed everyone to the service and was followed by an invocation by Hayne Webster. Reverend Ed Erb gave the call to worship. Ella Posada shared a passage from Psalm 130, and our time of praise was led by Rachel Linscott and a collaborative worship team. Aiden Gehman read passages from Ephesians and Romans.

This year’s sermon was given by Reverend Chris Osterbrock. The sermon was followed by a call to give from Carolyn Ruth, encouraging the community to support ministries in the area, with accompaniment by Andrew Moore.

Next, the community joined together in singing the Doxology.

Finally, the event concluded with a Benediction by Liliana Cuneo.

We are so thankful to have this opportunity to come together to share Christ’s love and faith with our brothers and sisters.
