Laurel Festival 2023 Queen Candidates Preview | Part 3

by Sara Vogt - June 16, 2023

Twenty-seven queen candidates are coming to the Eighty-first Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival to represent their high schools, and one will be coronated On Saturday, June 17th, as the 2023 Laurel Festival Queen. Keep reading this article until the end; all the names will be listed.

Bryanna Johnson, or Bree, as all her friends call her, is a recent North-Penn Mansfield High School graduate. With the many clubs and opportunities she has been a part of in high school, she is very thankful that she was able to make this large of an impact on her school community, which led to her being voted Miss Mansfield and now the Laurel Queen Candidate as Miss North-Penn Mansfield. Bree plans to attend Lock Haven University with a Biology and Pre-Medicine studies major, participate in the Global Honors Program, and compete on the University’s Golf Team. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, she aspires to gain her Doctorate in chiropractic.

Throughout Piper’s high school career, she acquired many skills, such as empathy, teamwork, compromising, and practical communication.

During Piper’s duration at Wellsboro Area High School, she participated as a majorette and an Emerald Gems color guard member. Piper also participated in cheerleading for Wellsboro Area High School.

After graduation, she plans to major in Radiology Technology at Mansfield University.

We did not have the opportunity to interview all of the queen candidates, but we can this weekend! They will all be riding on the floats!
