If God exists, can we know God?

by Pastor Mike Birbeck - April 12, 2021

What type of God would remain veiled from his people?

For God to do so would be cruel and unusual punishment, especially for those who realize just how desperately we need know and hear from our God. Since God is love, we ought to expect God to communicate on some level with us. This he has done. God has spoken in Scripture through the people he called to set down his word for us for perpetuity.

The Apostle Peter said, “Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Pet 1:20-21)
