Hornets trump Trojans!
As playoff time draws closer, its critical for each team to execute well and do it consistently. That’s what Hornets Head Coach Todd Outman has been preaching to his team, execution and consistency.
Wellsboro faced off against Troy Friday night looking to stay on track and remain focused going into district playoffs. Wellsboro used good ball movement and an improved defense to stifle Troy and not give them any easy looks.
Dylan Prough led all scorers with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Michael Pietropola added 15 points. Kieron Smethers had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Joe Doganiero had 2 assists and 4 rebounds. Nick Marple came off the bench and contributed on the boards grabbing 6 rebounds.
Wellsboro takes the win, 41-73. This improves their record to 14-5. They are back tomorrow vs Wyalusing. For the complete recap and interview with Coach Outman, click on the video link above.
