Home Page To Celebrate 10 Years In 2024
John and Sara Vogt, along with Andrew Moore, our Director of Video Production, founded The Home Page Network in 2014.
They were looking for a great way to serve our community, promote area businesses, support local law enforcement, and publish and broadcast positive news and information instead of focusing on human pain and suffering and political fighting for clicks.
John and Nancy Dunham, Bruce Vickery, and a handful of others in our community liked the idea and encouraged us to go for it! And, so we did. We officially launched Home Page on January 6th, 2014, and have had the joy of covering this incredible region for the past ten years.
What makes HPN different from much of the legacy media operating today is that we cover mostly positive stories and a lot of sports and work with the local church and Christian leaders to encourage people in their faith.
When we launched Home Page back in 2014, no one knew for sure if you would embrace our vision for positive media. At the end of the first three weeks, our total reach hit 13,000. Last year, our total reach was over 1.5 million. We can not thank you enough for watching and sharing what we do here. Every click helps us stay alive as we continue to cover the amazing things that happen in the communities we serve.
We are blessed to work alongside other fantastic local media serving our region, like Mountain Home Magazine, KC101, Tioga Publishing, Family Life, WLIH, The Troy Gazette-Register, The Canton Independent-Sentinel, and others who are encouraging people and making a positive difference. It has been a privilege to serve you for the past decade.
Mostly, the people here are kind, loving, hard-working folks who have each other’s backs. The citizens here are a sterling example of what it means to have loving, caring, and giving hearts.
As we close 2023 and move into 2024, we would like to take time to reflect on God’s faithfulness and remember some of our fondest moments from this past decade. The Home Page staff has picked some of their favorites, and we will air these feature broadcasts over the next several days until we return to our regular programming on Monday, January 8th, 2024.
Regarding HPN NEWS, in the days to come, we will have the joy of sharing with you some of our most important and favorite news and sports stories that have aired here over these past ten years.
Please be watching for – and sharing – your favorite Home Page moments. Look carefully – you may find yourself in one of our broadcast features. Thanks for the memories!
