Holiday Favorite Events Next Two Weekends

by Sara Vogt - November 29, 2023

Wellsboro will host their 39th Dickens of a Christmas on Saturday, December 2nd. Visitors spend the day on beautiful Main Street in Victorian time-period costumes with friends as vendors hawk their wares. The entire town gets into the festivities with traditional music and Christmas Carols as guests from all over the country join in the celebration! The Main Street Victorian Strolls are at 10:00 am and then again at 2:00 pm (immediately following The Best Dressed Showcase).

Come watch the Best Dressed Showcase; maybe you’ll join next year!

The following weekend, December 8-10 enjoy Christmas on Main Street! Stroll along the gas lit Main Street, shop local, and enjoy our picturesque town! Visit 30 displays of historic ornaments made locally in the early 1940’s and learn how Wellsboro saved Christmas during World War II. It’s a weekend of activities to warm your heart and fill you with Christmas spirit!

Purchase passports and history brochure for $5 at one of the following locations starting on Tuesday, December 5th:
Penn Wells Hotel, Wild Asaph Outfitters, The Farmer’s Daughter, and Pop’s Culture Shoppe.
