Since the 1950’s the Blossburg Pool has been the summer hang out location for residents of the Blossburg area. It is located at “Island Park”, a 60-acre multi-facility recreation area established in 1910.

Recently renovated, the pool offers a walk-in entry at one end – beneficial for those with limited mobility and an area for small children to get comfortable with being in the pool. Two fully enclosed slides are located at the deeper ends, one straight and the other curved with always a line of kids waiting their turn.

When the pool was last renovated the “baby” pool area was converted into a “splash pad” area with several devices dumping or squirting water onto brave swimmers.

Spending the day at the pool? You can get a snack or drink from the concession stand or just hang out under the suspended sunshade sails and read a book.

The pool is safely guarded by trained and certified lifeguards and water chlorination is tested often. Changing areas and bathrooms available just inside the door.

Cost for admission is $3 per person per day or 10 visit bracelets can be purchased for $25. Pool is open Monday through Thursday 12:30 am to 7 pm and Friday through Sunday 12:30 am to5 pm. Swimming lessons are offered, and the pool is available for private parties depending upon availability.
